AIESEC Team back in 2017, I learned a lot from them and my perspective changed a lot. While being part of this team I was in the Public Affairs Team and Communications were we worked on a lot of communication and marketing pieces. While being part of AISEC, I was exposed to a lot of international students and helping these students land an internship or a role with one of AISEC's partners. The main goal was to have more inclusivity and opportunities for those that are not local and live outside of the United States providing them with opportunities to develop themselves. We all had a world citizen mentality and thanks to the GL courses I took, I was able to use those skills learned and put them to practice in our communication efforts.
While being a digital marketing intern at telemundo, I worked on presentations and market research for some of their upcoming campaigns and also helped the team with some analytic reporting. Months before I started this internship, I had just wrapped up my internship with USAID doing translating documents from english to spanish. My experience with them helped me show my competency as a bilingual communicator which then helped me land this internship where I was also editing documents in spanish and putting together presentations to communicate to senior leadership. Thanks to the GL Internship that prepared me to be more than just average and see the world in more than just one language.
I landed a job with Viacom International Networks! I worked with the Paramount Channel brand for all Latin America! It was a dream come true. I worked on different promotion campaigns, while attending school. One of the biggest campaigns I worked on was The Handmaids Tale" A clip of a promotion that I managed and also put together with my video editors can be found below. This clip was done for our Brasil market. My experience in the GL Medallion program prepared me to communicate and understand other people points of view and cultures as I collaborated with people from other countries. Thanks to the courses and virtual events I attended I was able to think as a world citizen and participate in forums and discussions at the Paramount Channel where my input was appreciated and taken into consideration for my global strategic thinking.

I joined Yelp's diversity and inclusion board for the Washington D.C. office and in the picture above we had an event for Black History Month. Together with Facebook's D&I team, we packed lunch bags that were later handed to homeless people in the area. Through different activities and clubs I joined from GL as an FIU student while I was living in Miami I was able to comprehend the bigger need that is out in the world. By not only seen the things that affect my city but also other areas as well. FIU prepared to be hands on and to embrace challenges providing solutions that have an impact in society.
